We live and we learn. :)

When I turned 18,
I thought I was a grown-up,
wisened,
a know-it-all.
I've felt like I've been through everything.

When I turned 20,
I looked at my past and reflected,
"What a Kid I was at 18."
I then thought that at 20,
I know better,
that I'm finally a mature woman.

On my 21st,
I laughed at the 20-year-old me,
Saying how Immature I had been,
and said,
Finally, I am old enough.

Now at my 23rd,
I look back,
and finally realized,
"Hey, I am getting older,
and yet, I am not as wise
as I thought as I was."

You'd think that as years passed,
you've grown into a better person.
But then the next year comes,
and you find yourself
learning more,
experiencing tougher times,
making different mistakes,
tougher decisions to make.

You age, and yet,
there is still so much more to learn everyday.
You can never say you're tough enough,
until you face a newer adversary,
a tougher obstacle.
You can never be able to say
you've been through it all,
because something always comes up,
pushing you to the limits,
trying your courage and wisdom.

But just the same,
you are grateful,
that you are human,
and that you have
the greatest capacity
to learn.
